The cuz and I take a quick, Sunday drive through Skid Row, LA. If you're from the area, it's not anything new to you, but if you've never been here's your chance to get a look during the day. At night, things are even less desirable.
It's sad to see so many living in such poverty and it's hard to tell from the video, but some where obviously on drugs, or drug addicts out on the street. We also saw a few guys that just appeared out of place. I've been told that each block is ran by certain gang affiliates.
From my own, brief research I learned that Skid Row has been a part of Los Angeles since the 1940s.The city actually recognizes the area, has officially bordered it by city blocks, and over the years has made multiple attempts to clean it up.
To me, not being from the area, it's absolutely eye opening.
